Warm weather is upon us, and I am thankful for so many things. First of all, let me just say that Target is a goldmine for adorable dresses and outfits that are affordable. I got this cute, casual dress from Target for the Summer, and I already talked about these adorable wedges from Payless in my previous post. I always love how happy I get when I find pretty things that are also good deals. 🙂
Now that the weather calls for dresses and shorts, I’m wanting to try and get a little bit of a Summer glow for my fair skin. I just started using this Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer, and I love how it slowly builds up very natural-looking color. It also smells pretty amazing! Another great thing about this lotion is that it gives you just the right amount of color you want without damaging your skin. When you’re a Mom, you don’t really want to spend your time and money going to a tanning bed. Plus, I usually just try to enhance my skin tone instead of covering it up. It’s part of what makes you YOU. 🙂
I am definitely thankful for these warmer days, because it means that we can get outside and do things as a family. After Church on Sunday, we went out to look for some flowers to plant in the front yard. Lana couldn’t help but notice the pretty wind chimes.
How can flowers not make you smile? There are so many different kinds and colors, and they are all unique in their own way. I really enjoyed learning about the different flowers and what kinds would be best to plant during certain seasons. I ended up choosing to plant some lilies and columbine aquilegia. I had never heard of the second kind, but they are really pretty and attract butterflies and hummingbirds! I must say that gardening is definitely a relaxing hobby, and I plan to do more of it when I can. I love peonies and tulips, so I will have to try those at the right time.
We also went to out to eat for my Dad’s birthday. I love when our parents get to spend time with Lana, because you can see the love in their eyes when they look at her. Nothing could make me more happy or thankful.
Lana also got to color by herself for the first time! We had to keep her from eating the crayons, but that was the only issue. 😉 You could tell that she really enjoyed it!
This is the perfect picture to end with, because this is what I’m so thankful for right here. Oh, how I love and appreciate the little things. These are my people, and I don’t know where I would be without them. This is what I want to see at the end of every single day.
Be thankful for the little things. They are the best. 🙂
