Lana’s First Birthday Party

Lana’s first birthday party finally arrived, and I am pretty sure she had a blast! As many of you know from my posts, the party was ballerina themed. Lana was the cutest, little ballerina, and I was very happy with how all of the party decor turned out. 🙂 We still have some home improvement going on, so I had to be pretty strategic with how I decorated. I have a bunch of pictures for you all, so I hope you enjoy! I will also share the details on where I got everything!

I should probably also mention that Lana would not take a nap for me all day on Saturday, so I am really proud with how she did at her party. She was a little trooper!

I will start off with this amazing banner that I got to go in front of the curtains. I got it from “PrettyLilParty” on Etsy, and you can get this exact one here. This pink and gold banner went with her party colors perfectly, and I was even able to get her name on the gold heart for free! The banner could have also said, “Happy 1st Birthday”, but I want to be able to use it again for her in the future. It is just so pretty!

I got Lana’s adorable birthday crown from “lovecrushbowtique” on Etsy, and the shop has so many beautiful options that you can choose from. I found this high chair tutu at Hobby Lobby. You can get a similar one here. I also wanted a pink slip cover for her highchair, but I could not find one anywhere! This is when your super talented family member comes in handy, and you get a handmade one. 😉 It was perfect!

Now I have to make a point to show you this beautiful ballerina centerpiece below that went on the table in front of the window. I based the whole party around this ballerina, and I absolutely love it! We are going to keep it in Lana’s room for decoration, and my husband, Ashton, may add hooks to the top to make it a necklace holder. This darling ballerina is also from Etsy, and you can get it from the “MemoryKeepsakeParty” shop here. If you are planning a ballerina party or you simply want an elegant ballerina for your daughter’s room, this is perfect!

The fluffy, pink hanging decorations and all of the balloons, table cloths, plates, napkins, cups, and forks are from Party City. The striped straws, gold polka dot jars, and the sign on the drink dispenser are from Hobby Lobby. I got the best selling drink dispenser on Amazon to use for the Pina Colada Sangria recipe I found on Pinterest. I found the name “Pirouette Punch” that I used for the sign on Pinterest as well…I figured it was appropriate. 😉 This drink was pretty refreshing, and it was super easy to make! You should check it out! You can also follow me on Pinterest here.

Lana’s first birthday party was just what I hoped it would be, and we all had a really good time! I will say that we did forget a key thing about the party, and Ashton had to go get some more propane for the grill at the last minute. There always has to be something, right? 🙂 The most important thing is that Lana seemed to be having the time of her life with everyone there to play with her.

Lana was hilariously lady-like when eating her birthday cake, which was surprising. That little girl loves her some sweets, just like her Mama! I couldn’t find a glittery, gold number one candle I liked anywhere, so I ordered one from “PrettyLilParty” on Etsy. Lana’s ballerina outfit was a hit as well, and you can get one just like it here. I got it from “TheCutestCottons” shop on Etsy, and they even put her name on it for me in pretty cursive! She also wore this for her one year photos, and I can’t wait to see them! Can you tell I am addicted to Etsy, yet? I found almost everything for Lana’s first birthday party on Etsy.

Lana’s first birthday party ended with a wild (okay, not really wild) dance party and some fun with musical instruments. This was the perfect way to end her party, because our Lana loves to dance. You will never catch her not dancing when there is music playing. This picture just cracks me up…a ballerina playing the drums. That’s our girl. 😉 Now we are going to look forward to a whole new year of fun and laughter with our precious daughter.

I hope you enjoyed this post about Lana’s first birthday party, and maybe some of you will be able to use some of this stuff at one of your parties!

-xoxo
