white overalls

Happy Monday, friends! It is a really rainy day here today, so hopefully it sparks my productive mood. 😉 I recently got these distressed, white overalls, and I am definitely a fan of the trend! They are so comfy, and it reminds me of wearing them when I was a kid! They are on sale for under $50, and I got the XS size. I love that you can easily adjust the straps to get the fit you want. If you’ve been wanting to try out the trend, these white overalls are perfect!

I also have to mention that if I were to recommend one pair of sandals to buy this Summer, it would be these rose gold, footbed sandals! They are SO comfortable, they remind you of the more expensive Birks (I’ve had several people ask me about them), and they are really affordable ($23)! I’ve had them for 2 years, and I wear them everywhere. They are true to size!

I did another poll on Instagram last week to see if you want me to share my everyday skin care routine – SO simple! I shared my current makeup routine last week, as well. You can read that post here.

I have honestly tried out quite a few skin care products, but I am very careful about what I use. My skin is very sensitive, and I don’t like to risk messing up the benefits I have had from my normal skin care routine. I also have to mention that I started going to a dermatologist when I was in high school. It was such a huge help for me, because I literally felt like I had tried every product possible to manage my acne that had started to flare up when I was a sophomore in high school. Nothing worked. So when I finally went to the dermatologist, it made me feel so much more confident and happy with my skin.

My Current, Everyday Skin Care Routine

My everyday skin care routine is so simple, I almost feel silly typing it out! The real key to my skin care routine is the topical gel prescription that I started using in high school after going to a dermatologist. So I like to keep everything else I use simple and consistent!

  • Morning routine

I wash my face with Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser right when I get up in the morning. It is gentle on your face, while it also does a great job of cleaning it. I have used it since the beginning of College, and it has great reviews! If it is Spring/Summer, I use the Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer after that before putting on my makeup. Once it starts getting colder in the Fall and Winter, I switch my moisturizer to the Aveeno Ultra-Calming Daily Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin. My skin gets really dry when it’s cold, so this helps a lot! I have always loved Aveeno products!

  • Night Routine

Before I go to bed, I wash my face with the Cetaphil Cleanser again. Then I use the Neutrogena Oil-Free Makeup Remover to get all of my eye makeup off. My favorite mascara is waterproof, so this is a must! 🙂 Depending on the day, I may try doing a face mask at this point. I have been trying out this $3 clarifying mud mask a couple times a week, and I like it a lot! I also use these face masks depending on what my skin feels like it needs. Next, I use my topical gel prescription (I get prescription from my dermatologist) for my acne on dry, clean skin. I use the generic version of the Differin prescription. Then I will put on my Aveeno moisturizer like I did in the morning. Finally, I always dab on my favorite spot acne treatment where I need it and leave it on overnight. My skin has never done well with salicylic acid, so I LOVE this strong, benzoyl peroxide treatment! It’s also just $5 and lasts forever! It does a really good job of drying out current breakouts and stopping new ones before they form. 🙂

As you can see, my everyday skin care routine is pretty simple, and I think my skin likes it best that way. I always like to try out certain products that I really think might help, but this basic routine is something that I never normally change. It is always my go-to routine. Do you guys have sensitive skin? Have you gone to a dermatologist? I would love to know your thoughts! Let me know! 🙂
