5 Affordable Fall Activities to Put on Your List This Year

affordable Fall activities

Good evening, friends! I am so excited to start really trying to be consistent with blog posts for you guys! You all picked Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 PM Central for all posts to go live on Rose Lining, so that’s what it will be! πŸ™‚ I might try to post at 6:45 PM Central when Bachelor in Paradise is on, though. πŸ˜‰ I want to begin with something fun, so I’m going to share 5 affordable Fall activities you should try to do this year! Fall is my favorite season, so I have done and still do many of these things every year!

5 Affordable Fall Activities to Put on Your ListΒ

1. Go to the Orchard/Pumpkin Patch

I’m sure many of you do this already, but I feel like many people don’t realize all of the little things that can make the experience even more fun! I have gone to a local Pumpkin Patch since I was a little girl, and there are so many things that I enjoy about it! If you have a local orchard/pumpkin patch that has a special store with homemade goods, definitely take advantage of it! Plan to grab some yummy treats in the store to take home and enjoy while you watch some scary movies! I love to grab an apple cider slush every time we go for the ride home, and I also like to grab some caramel popcorn and a few other special things! This will extend your fun experience!

2. Go on a Haunted Trolley Ride/Tour

There are so many affordable haunted tours/activities in every area! When I was growing up, my family and I went on a haunted trolley ride in Atchison, KS, every year! I still try to go when I get the chance! The whole experience is SO fun. You get to tour the whole town and learn about the stories behind all of its haunted houses! Plus, Atchison, KS, has even been featured on the Travel Channel in its documentary called “Haunted Town”. πŸ˜‰ Going on the tour only costs $13! If you aren’t local, I am sure there are lots of similar, fun things you can find near you!

3. Have a Scary Movie Marathon with Your Favorite Snacks

This one is SO easy and fun! It’s definitely one of the most affordable Fall activities! Plan a day of your favorite scary movies/all the classics! Food makes everything better, so make sure to have some of your favorite food and drinks to watch during the movies. If you know the weather is going to be really cool one weekend, that would be the perfect setup! Light a pumpkin or apple spice scented candle. πŸ˜‰ If you need some inspiration, I am also planning on sharing a movie list this Thursday that you can all use this Fall!

4. Make Halloween Treats + Watch Hocus Pocus

This basically falls under the previous category, but Hocus Pocus deserves its own special mention! πŸ™‚ I wish they would come out with more movies like this, because it is the PERFECT Fall/Halloween movie! You could pick a night to watch Hocus Pocus (I know we’re all watching this movie MANY times, realistically), and make special, Halloween themed treats to enjoy during it.

If you’re not sure what to make, I have the perfect idea for you guys! Do you remember the chocolate, witch sucker his sister, Dani, gets out of the cauldron when they go to the girl’s house? If not, that’s okay – I have a bit of an obsession! I tried looking up how to make something like this on Pinterest a couple years ago, and you can find the directions I have been using from my Pin here. I found some cute pumpkin molds at Michael’s a couple years ago and have just saved them to make new treats each year! Here are some cute ones I just found on Amazon for you guys too – pumpkins, ghosts, frankensteins, witches (like the movie), and cats.Β How perfect would it be to have some chocolate, Halloween themed suckers – just like in the movie – while you watch it?!

5. Make Pinterest Inspired Halloween Crafts/Carve Pumpkins

Depending on what you’re in the mood for, just look up some Fall craft ideas on Pinterest and get creative! You could take the day to make some cute, Fall/Halloween decor for your house, or just look up some neat pumpkin carving ideas! Just set your budget, and then pick what you want to do! Why not put a scary movie on in the background while you drink a pumpkin spice latte? πŸ˜‰

I am so excited for Fall to begin, and I know many of you are as well! I hope that you all get some time to try these affordable Fall activities this year!
