2 Phrases You Should Stop Telling Yourself This Year

phrases

Happy Wednesday, friends! I honestly thought it was Tuesday all day, but that’s okay! I wasn’t sure if I would get a blog post up tonight, but I had this idea rolling around in my head all day and want to share! There are 2 phrases that I think we should all quit telling ourselves this year:

Stop Telling Yourself These 2 Phrases:

  • “I CAN’T…”

It seems like we stop ourselves from being successful before we even get started. Lots of times we tell ourselves that we can’t do something, so why should we even try?

Instead of focusing on what you think you CAN’T do, try focusing on all of the things you know you CAN do to make what you think is impossible happen. Baby steps are key.

  • “I’M NOT…”

I see so many people who are sad today, because they are thinking about all the things they think they are not. I’ve done it before too. Social media has a lot to do with it too, but it is ultimately up to all of us to realize what is reality. We are ALL human. No matter how perfect things seem on the outside, there is something that seemingly perfect person is dealing with.

You may think, “I’m not pretty enough”, or “I’m not ever going to be good enough”. These phrases are all lies that rob us of our joy when we could be so happy embracing the beautiful people we all truly are. From now on, start telling yourself, “I am…”. There are so many amazing qualities that God has been whispering in your ear to use. You are meant to shine! 🙂

We All Just Want Happiness

We’re all focusing on our New Year’s resolutions right now, but I think what we are all yearning for the most is just to be happy. So many people are just reaching out for something real and for honesty. Social media has helped me get to know so many beautiful people inside and out, and that is what I have noticed over time. I appreciate each and every one of you! I hope to share as many helpful things as I can with all of you this year! 🙂

P.S. The scarf in the picture above is out of stock, so I also linked a similar one! 🙂 My hair scrunchie is by Chelsea King (I linked similar options)!
